The Quantity Surveyor Role
We're looking for an ambitious and capable Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual who wants exposure to both consultancy and contracting roles, with clear potential for career progression and the chance to help shape a developing business.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the commercial elements of construction and development projects from feasibility to final account
Prepare cost plans, budgets, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
Handle valuations, variations, and payment applications
Support procurement and contract negotiation
Monitor costs and financial performance against project budgets
Liaise with clients, contractors, and professional teams to ensure successful delivery
Identify and mitigate commercial risks
Prepare and manage cash flows and cost reports
Procure subcontractors and manage tender processes
Operate across consultancy and contracting functions as needed
Be confident in client-facing roles, including time spent in client offices Required Experience & Skills:
3–6 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, with exposure to both contractor and/or consultancy roles
Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or related field
Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Organised, self-motivated, and a strong team player
Commercially focused with great attention to detail Desirable:
Experience in residential or mixed-use development
