Purpose of the role: The HR Assistant will provide vital support to the HR & Payroll Manager in delivering an efficient and effective HR function across the business. This role ensures that HR operations run smoothly, including employee lifecycle processes, payroll administration, and compliance. The HR Assistant will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, supporting both managers and employees while contributing to a positive and engaging workplace culture.
Core Responsibilities
* Assist with the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, document preparation, and offboarding.
* Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems and ensure compliance with GDPR and employment legislation.
* Support the monthly payroll process in collaboration with the HR & Payroll Manager.
* Coordinate training sessions, appraisals, and professional development activities.
* Manage employee queries related to policies, benefits, and HR procedures.
* Assist with HR reporting, tracking key metrics such as absence, turnover, and training.
* Support employee engagement initiatives, including social events and company-wide communications.
* Provide administrative support on HR projects, audits, and policy updates.
