Biffa is looking for a Training Supervisor to build safer operations, develop skilled teams, and make a real difference every day A quick look at the role. To provide instruction and guidance to new and existing drivers, loaders, operatives and supervisors, ensuring they can safely and effectively operate the vehicles, tools and equipment allocated to them, in line with Biffa policies and the legislation relevant to their role. Carry out on-boarding, induction, and practical operational training so employees can settle, integrate into the team, understand our values and culture, work safely and to their highest potential. Deliver operational training for individuals / teams and assess and monitor as appropriate. Your core responsibilities. Provide technical construction knowledge to the project team. Work closely with operations to ensure the scope is clear and understood. Procuring of consultant design services, and working with operations and designer to ensure value engineer and innovation is incorporated at the design stage. Procuring of contractors to deliver the work, including specification, tender review, project delivery and compliance with H&S, planning and permitting legislation. Manage internal and external stakeholders and consultants for project delivery. Ensure and promote strong health and safety leadership and delivery throughout the works, from inception to completion. Regular site visits and lead the construction phase of the workings, integrating with other engineering disciplines as required. Requirements Our essential requirements. LGV Class 2 Driving Licence with up-to-date Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) Strong driving ability with excellent road safety knowledge Good understanding of transport legislation and industry regulations Previous experience within the waste or service industry Proven leadership skills or experience delivering training to teams Desirable qualifications include City & Guilds Training Skills, Health & Safety, Driver Assessor, or Manager CPC Benefits And here’s why you’ll love it at Biffa.
