Procurement Officer
Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 per annum
Working hours: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am - 1:30pm

Join a unique global manufacturing organisation where you'll play a key role in supporting a global production operation. As a Procurement Officer, you'll manage the purchasing of production materials, ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and supply chain stability.
Responsibilities
* Follow company purchasing procedures and contribute to maintaining compliance with operational and quality standards.
* Oversee inventory monitoring activities, reviewing stock usage and prioritising materials according to operational demand and supplier lead times.
* Conduct supplier research and assessment processes to support the selection of dependable and cost-effective vendors.
* Handle commercial discussions with suppliers to agree favourable pricing structures, payment arrangements, and delivery commitments.
* Coordinate procurement documentation and order progression to support accurate purchasing and timely supply fulfilment.
* Maintain effective working relationships with external vendors while reviewing service quality and delivery performance.
* Assist with purchasing plans and expenditure reviews to support budget control and identify potential savings opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills

* Logical thinker with a methodical and results-oriented approach.
* Problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Resilience under pressure, maintains performance in a changing or high-demand environment.
* Desirable: Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
* Excellent IT skills in Microsoft packages, Excel, Word and Outlook. Proficiency in Sage would be advantageous.
