The Opportunity
This is an exciting and engaging opportunity to join SAC Consulting as a Business Support Administrator (Programmes Team Intern), providing high‑quality administrative and operational support to customers and colleagues across the organisation.
Acting as a key point of contact for general enquiries and day‑to‑day business activities, the role plays an important part in delivering a professional, responsive and customer‑focused service. The post offers exposure to a broad range of business support activities, requiring strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
You will work collaboratively with regional offices and colleagues across SAC Consulting, supporting effective communication and smooth operations. The role requires the post holder to proactively manage and prioritise their workload while adapting flexibly to changing demands, in addition to a willingness to travel and assist with on‑site event support. Throughout all aspects of the role, you will act as a positive ambassador for SAC Consulting and SRUC, demonstrating an enthusiastic and professional attitude.
Key Elements of This Role
* Learning how to provide a friendly and helpful service including answering phone calls and emails from customers and colleagues
* Supporting day‑to‑day office tasks by helping the team with basic administrative tasks and organisation
* Gaining hands‑on experience using Microsoft Office applications and office equipment such as phones and printers
* Developing skills in planning and organising work, including managing more than one task at a time
* Working carefully and accurately, building confidence with numbers, written communication and attention to detail
* Working with the events and operations teams, including travelling to events and helping with event set‑up, delivery and pack‑down
* Meeting and engaging with members of the public and other stakeholders, with support to build confidence and professionalism
* Learning how to work independently while being supported as part of a team, including occasional help at weekend or out‑of‑hours events
Minimum Qualifications
Good standard of secondary education or able to demonstrate suitable relevant experience.
