Role summary
The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest and busiest in London with a well-established national and international reputation for clinical excellence and world class care. An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an enthusiastic physician assistant to join the renal team for 12 months (maternity cover). The successful candidate will support the multiprofessional team to provide care to patients under the care of the renal team. You will work under the direction of a supervising consultant as part of a well-established multidisciplinary team in providing acute inpatient care of nephrology patients, including kidney transplant recipients and patients receiving dialysis. You will gain extensive training in all aspects of renal medicine. This post is suitable for both newly qualified or experienced physician assistants.

Responsibilities
* Work under the direction of a supervising consultant as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide acute inpatient care of nephrology patients, including transplant recipients and dialysis patients.
* Support the multiprofessional team in delivery of patient care under renal services.
* Develop a specialist interest in peritoneal dialysis, supported by the acute dialysis unit.
* Gain extensive training in all aspects of renal medicine.
Qualifications and eligibility
* This post is suitable for both newly qualified or experienced physician assistants.
* Ability to work within a well-established MDT and under supervision as required.
