About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Local Support Assistant based in London, England, to provide on-site operational and IT support at our office in Lewisham.
⚠️ Please note: This is not a full-time role. It is a freelance, on-demand position with tasks scheduled in advance, depending on operational needs.
Tasks
Shipment Assistance
* Prepare incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and accurate documentation.
* Track deliveries, confirm receipt, and follow up with carriers (DHL, FedEx, etc.).
Inventory & Asset Management
* Perform inventory checks for IT equipment, hardware, and office supplies.
* Maintain accurate inventory logs and report shortages or discrepancies.
On-Site IT Support
* Assist with basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
* Provide hands-on support for server troubleshooting, and general maintenance tasks.
* Coordinate with remote IT teams to perform guided interventions.
* Ensure proper functionality of IT infrastructure, including network equipment, servers, and workstations.
General Office Support
* Act as the on-site point of contact for pre-scheduled support requests.
* Support with miscellaneous office-related tasks and light coordination.
* Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding task completion, issues, and updates.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
* Energetic, proactive, and detail-oriented.
* Solid understanding of IT basics, including hardware setup, cabling, server environments, and network troubleshooting.
* Ability to follow remote instructions for IT tasks and interventions.
* Flexible availability for weekday, on-demand support tasks.
* Located near Lewisham (SE13) or with easy and reliable access to the office.
* Prior experience in IT support, logistics, or field services is a plus.
* Strong communication skills and professional reliability.
