Hours: 40 per week
A private co-educational day and boarding school in Dollar, Scotland, catering for 550 students and teachers daily. The role involves providing core meals, breaks, and supper during a term-time contract working 39 weeks a year, with some ad hoc hospitality events. Free on-site parking is an additional benefit.
We are seeking a talented Pastry Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Clackmannanshire.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen as a Pastry Chef, with skills in making cakes, bread, and pastry from scratch. Full training and development will be provided.
You will enjoy working with fresh seasonal ingredients and regularly changing bespoke menus, providing an opportunity to showcase your creativity and skills.
Key responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the team to produce bread, cakes, and desserts for lunch service and hospitality.
* Prepare food using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch in line with company standards.
* Adhere to food standards and control wastage.
* Follow all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies, and allergen control procedures.
Skills required:
* Genuine interest in food and excellent customer service skills.
* Strong team player with innovation and passion for quality food.
* Organized with attention to detail.
Knowledge / Competencies:
* Good understanding and use of verbal English.
* Competent in written English and reading skills.
* Experience in customer service or food preparation environments is preferred.
