Project Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Test Manager to lead and coordinate all testing activities associated with a service transition project our client. This 10-month initiative involves the migration of service routes for services (including RAN, WAN, telephony, and contact centre infrastructure) without significant changes to the underlying SLA framework. The primary focus will be on defining test strategy, overseeing assurance activities, and ensuring operational and service readiness across impacted teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and own the Test Strategy and Approach for the service transition.
2. Plan and manage test activities related to the migration of services, ensuring alignment with service transition timelines and objectives.
3. Conduct test assurance over supplier-led testing and internal delivery teams.
4. Facilitate compliance, coverage, and requirements mapping, ensuring all regulatory and contractual requirements are met.
5. Collaborate with various operational and service teams to ensure service readiness and smooth cutover.
6. Engage with stakeholders to report on test progress, issues, risks, and mitigations.
7. Ensure all testing is aligned with ITIL 4 principles, especially in the areas of change enablement and service validation.
8. Support customer-facing communications related to test outcomes and readiness.
Skills & Experience Required:
9. Proven experience in Test Management, particularly within Service Transition or Service Readiness
10. Strong background in Operational Testing, Test Assurance, and Supplier Assurance.
11. Ability to create and manage Compliance Matrices, Coverage Matrices, and Requirements Traceability.
12. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels.
13. Familiarity with testing across telecommunications environments (RAN/WAN/Telephony) is highly desirable.
14. Understanding of service delivery models in a critical infrastructure context (e.g. electricity or utilities).
15. ITIL 4 Foundation Certification (minimum requirement).
