Special Needs Teaching Assistants – Basingstoke
Specialist schools in the Basingstoke area are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join their teams as Special Needs Teaching Assistants (SEN TAs). These roles offer the opportunity to support children and young people with autism, learning difficulties, communication challenges and physical or sensory needs, helping them learn and develop in a safe, inclusive environment.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils’ learning and personal development. Duties may include adapting classroom activities, encouraging communication, assisting with sensory learning, and helping pupils build confidence and independence. Some pupils may also need support with personal care or mobility.

Applicants should be patient, adaptable and committed to supporting children with additional needs. Experience in education, care or youth work is helpful but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
