Let’s Talk About The Role
As part of our Data Analytics team, the Data Analytics Specialist plays a critical role in transforming brand plans and operational insights into actionable data for the DC. They deliver timely, accurate, and meaningful analysis that supports performance tracking, operational decision-making, and continuous improvement.
The role involves close collaboration with key stakeholders across the DC and wider business, ensuring data is clearly communicated and aligned with strategic objectives. By maintaining strong relationships and providing proactive insights, the specialist helps drive efficiencies in capacity management, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
How You Will Make a Difference
* Utilise data analysis tools and programming languages such as Excel, Power BI and SQL to analyse and interpret data and create insightful data visualisations.
* Identify trends and patterns in data to support strategic decision-making.
* Ensure data accuracy and integrity through meticulous attention to detail.
* Apply business acumen to understand industry-specific contexts and provide relevant insights.
* Collaborate effectively with various departments to achieve common goals.
* Communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders, both in writing and verbally.
* Automate data processing and reporting tasks for efficiency.
* Stay updated with industry trends and continuously learn new tools and techniques.
Skills For Success
* Previous experience in a data and analytical focused role.
* You may have a degree in mathematics, statistics or another analytical subject.
* Proficiency in Excel, Power BI (DAX) and SQL is essential.
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Solid understanding of business contexts and industry trends.
* Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.
* Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration abilities.
* Experience with any of Python, R or IBM Cognos would be beneficial.
* Experience managing data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance to maintain robust data systems is preferred.
