The designing & manufacturing of the product is fast paced and diverse and due to rapid growth and expansion within the organisation they are now looking to add a Purchasing Manager to the team. Reporting through purchasing and working closely with the Supply Chain duties will include- Management of the purchasing team and responsibility for the day to day running of the function, coordinating all elements in order for the process to be as streamlined as possible ensuring all target times are achieved Manage effective supplier relationships, establishing new supplier relationships Agree & monitor service delivery targets with suppliers Work closely with production team to facilitate effective supply & availability of new & existing products Managing the logistics of shipping ensuring all legislation is adhered to Continually improve the supply chain processThis role has come about due to an internal move and as such represents an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to really make the role their own. It is essential that your experience has been gained in a raw material procurement environment. Ideally you will have experience in international supply chain also.
