Senior Consultant - Building Services Engineering Are you an experienced building services engineering installation or maintenance professional that would like to move into consultancy as a technical services subject matter expert and trusted advisor to property owners, occupiers, investors, and developers, helping them to get the most out of their real estate and mechanical and electrical building assets and services? You will be joining the London office of a leading multi-disciplinary building services and facilities management consultancy as a Senior Consultant, working on a diverse range of consultancy assignments that can include anything from building services asset management, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) contract tendering, FM service provider selection and onboarding, contract mobilisation and auditing, technical due diligence, asset verification and condition surveys, dilapidation reports, feasibility studies, lifecycle and CapEx projects, critical infrastructure upgrades, building pre-acquisition reports, providing energy and sustainability advice, optimising mechanical and electrical assets and building management systems (BMS), compliance etc. Responsibilities Work directly with clients to provide advice and deliver a range of building services projects and assignments, building surveying and asset engineering within the Engineering Asset Management team through the completion of a range of building services projects. Undertaking condition surveys and dilapidations reports. Producing pre-acquisition and disposal technical due diligence reports. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance CAPEX reports. Management and coordination of projects. Input into innovation; continual improvement of services and products. Supporting the team providing technical support and maintenance management duties. Requirements NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering. Ideally hold membership of the IET, CIBSE or IWFM, with relevant City & Guilds qualifications. Excellent report writing and communication skills, and the ability to liaise professionally with clients and colleagues. Working knowledge of and ability to identify and provide professional advice for electrical distribution systems, air conditioning & ventilation systems (VRV, VAV, chilled water, heat recovery etc.), heating systems (heat generation, distribution and terminal unit types), controls and BMS, fire alarms, security and access systems. Knowledgeable of statutory compliance, regulations and standards relating to operational building services.
