Who You Are You are a qualified social worker, registered with Social Care Wales, and living within 40 miles of Cardiff. With at least three years of experience, you have previously worked in fostering environments and have completed Form F Assessments and Connected Person’s Assessments. Your experience has equipped you with the skills to assess and prepare prospective foster and kinship carers for their respective journeys. You are able to work independently while benefiting from supervision and regular check-ins with your supervisor. What the Job Involves As a member of a pool of assessors, you will be engaged as needed by agencies to conduct assessments for Foster Wales Cardiff. You will be responsible for conducting face-to-face visits to assess foster and kinship carers, completing Coram Baaf Form F Assessments and Connected Person’s Assessments. Your duties include preparing candidates for panel presentations, which are held on Wednesdays, and presenting your assessments to the panel. You will be expected to perform visits in line with the assessment requirements while operating under your initiative with guidance from a supervising authority.
