Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to join our MSK team as a rotational Band 6 physiotherapist. This role includes rotations in upper limb, gym, hands, spinal, hydro, VFC and a mixed caseload rotation. You will work within a highly experienced and approachable team of physiotherapists (APPs and FCPs) and will be part of a strong EDI culture that values diversity.
Responsibilities
* You will manage your own MSK outpatient caseload, including patients with complex presentations.
* You will assess, formulate and deliver individualized MSK rehabilitation programmes, and evaluate outcomes using evidence‑based practice.
* You will perform comprehensive assessment and advanced clinical reasoning.
* You will act as an autonomous practitioner, ensuring the safe use of physiotherapy equipment in line with the Trust’s Medical Devices Policy.
* You will line‑manage junior physiotherapists and supervise/teach students.
* You will take part in departmental ISTs and may assist with departmental audits and service development.
* You will work flexibly across outpatient MSK services and, where necessary, across sites to meet service need.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Band 5 or Band 6 level experience in MSK physiotherapy, with confidence in assessing and treating a range of MSK conditions.
* Proactive, approachable and keen to develop clinical knowledge and supervisory skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage your own caseload, and line‑manage junior staff.
* Strong communication and teaching abilities.
* Commitment to professional development and evidence‑based practice.
Working Conditions
* Rotational working within Outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy for approximately eight months per rotation.
