We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Night Baker to join our bakery team. Working through the night, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a range of high-quality breads, pastries and other baked goods to ensure they are fresh and ready for our morning customers
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operational Support:
Assist the Head Baker to prepare doughs, batters, and other baking mixtures from scratch, following recipes and company standards as to organizing and coordinating daily bakery production, this includes, but does not limit it to a variety of products including loaves, rolls and savoury goods.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of ingredients. Maintaining a clean and organised working environment in accordance with food hygiene and safety standards.
o Help develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Monitor product quality and consistency, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Ensure smooth operation by collaborating with other team members and report to the Head Baker
Quality Control and Product Development:
Assist in maintaining quality standards for bakery products, including taste, appearance, and consistency.
Collaborate with the Head Baker and the culinary team to develop new products and improve existing recipes.
Assist Head Baker to conduct regular product tastings and evaluations to ensure quality control and make necessary adjustments.
Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards and HACCP
Skills and Experience:
Previous professional baking experience (particularly in an overnight setting) is essential
Knowledge of various baking techniques, dough fermentation, and artisan methods.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
Must be reliable, punctual, and comfortable working night shifts
