Essentials:
We are looking for an experienced and engaging Trainer to join our growing and forward-thinking Learning & Development department at M&D Care.
This role is key to ensuring that all colleagues are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with M&D Cares vision. You will facilitate a range of learning opportunities, primarily classroom-based training, including company inductions, Emergency First Aid at Work, Positive Behaviour Management and Active Support. Full training in these courses can be provided.
You will need to be a driver with access to a vehicle and also have the right to work in the UK for this role.

Full job description
We are seeking someone with a strong background in operational management within social care, who understands how to use audits and self-assessments to evaluate and improve quality. You will be flexible, proactive, and committed to working collaboratively across the organisation.
While experience in delivering training in a health and social care setting is an ad-vantage, it is not essential
we welcome experienced trainers from diverse sectors who bring creativity, confidence, and a passion for learning. Youll support staff development across multiple sites using a variety of teaching and learning approaches best suited to the needs of your learners.
Primarily based at our dedicated training centre in Carmarthen, there will be some multi-site working across our services. You will use varied training methods to engage active learners and promote continuous professional growth.
Role and Responsibilities
Providing high quality, engaging and informative training sessions both in the classroom and within our services.
Support the ongoing evaluation and review of the effectiveness of training programmes through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics. Implementation of improvements based on findings in collaboration with Head of L&D.
To ensure all training programmes comply with current health and social care regulations and standards. You will be required to stay informed about changes in best practice and integrate them into training.
To maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and programme outcomes. Prepare regular reports for senior management on a range of competencies.
To explore and implement innovative training methods and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
Partnership working with our wider support teams including HR, Operations, Quality etc. to problem solve and identify solutions.
To conduct both in-person and occasional online training sessions as required. This involves presenting information clearly, facilitating discussions, and using dynamic teaching methods to engage learners.
Provide feedback in relation to staff competencies and develop blended learning approaches to address any development needs.
There will be an expectation of agile working, including delivery of training where a need is identified.
To provide ongoing support to colleagues, helping them to apply their new skills in their daily work. This may include one-on-one coaching, mentoring, and providing additional resources.
Advise care home managers and others around best practice clinical interventions and supporting individuals with a clinical need.
To proactively promote and encourage participation in training and education programmes and ensure maximum completion rates.
To work closely with department heads, care managers and Head of L&D to identify training needs and develop relevant programmes.
To undertake any training required to maintain competence, including mandatory training, e.g., Manual Handling.
To ensure that all training delivered aligns with M&D Cares vision and values.
All other tasks commensurate with the role.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have A minimum of two years experience delivering training or a relevant training qualification. Where a training qualification is not present, there will be an expectation and opportunity for this to be completed within role. They will also have full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle as there will be some travel involved in this role.
