Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cosmetic Vehicle Inspector to join our team in Enfield. This is a non-mechanical role ideally suited to individuals with a background in bodyshop, vehicle detailing, or cosmetic repair assessment. As part of the vehicle onboarding process, you will be responsible for the initial cosmetic inspection and administrative check-in of vehicles, assessing for any cosmetic imperfections, and recording detailed findings in our internal systems. Your input plays a key role in ensuring our vehicles are prepared to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
 * Inspect incoming vehicles (various makes and models) for cosmetic defects, including:
 * Alloy wheel condition
 * Interior cosmetic condition
 * Check-in and receive vehicles, including completing vehicle intake documentation and updating system records.
 * Accurately assess and record each vehicle’s cosmetic condition, identifying required reconditioning work (e.g. paint correction, smart repair, dent removal).
 * Input detailed vehicle specifications and cosmetic assessment results into internal systems for processing and tracking.
 * Identify and document previous cosmetic repairs or signs of substandard work.
 * Liaise with internal departments (e.g. bodyshop, detailing team) to coordinate efficient, cost‑effective reconditioning.
 * Ensure all inspections and vehicle check‑ins are completed to company standards and within set timeframes.
 * Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area, following all relevant health and safety procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
 * Proven experience in cosmetic inspection, vehicle detailing, bodyshop, or body repair environments.
 * Strong attention to detail with a solid understanding of vehicle bodywork and cosmetic standards.
 * Ability to work efficiently without compromising on quality.
 * Good communication and IT skills, with the ability to record and report inspection results accurately.
 * Familiarity with different car makes, models, and trim specifications.
 * Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
 * Experience in a fast-paced vehicle preparation or automotive reconditioning environment.
 * Knowledge of smart repair, PDR (Paintless Dent Removal), or wheel refurbishment techniques.
 * Experience using vehicle appraisal software or digital inspection tools.
