Working Pattern: Days / Nights / Weekends - 12-hour shifts as a relief officer to cover absences

We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Relief Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security provision, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our client’s sites, ensuring the safety and security of people, premises, and property at all times.
Relief Security Officers are recruited to strengthen existing teams and will be called upon to support both core and ad-hoc activities. This includes advance-notified shifts, covering vacancies within the security rota, providing cover for sickness and holidays, and undertaking additional tasking as required.
This role is suited to a professional and adaptable individual who can consistently deliver high-quality security services.
The Role
1. Responsible for the physical security of client premises
2. Conduct regular patrols
3. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action
4. Enforce access control and verify the identity of individuals on-site
5. Provide excellent customer service by assisting and guiding visitors
6. Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities
7. Ensure high standards at all times, maintaining the professional image of ISS
8. Undertake induction and training as needed
9. Promote a secure and safe working environment at client sites
About You
10. Valid SIA licence
11. Proven experience in security or related field
12. Strong observational and communication skills
13. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively
14. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
15. Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
16. Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights and weekends
17. New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development
