Junior CAD Designer – High Wycombe – £26,000 to £39,000 + Benefits
A UK-based manufacturer specialising in building services products is looking to recruit a Junior CAD Designer to join their growing design team in High Wycombe. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and technically minded individual looking to launch or further a career in CAD design within the engineering and manufacturing sector.
Essential Criteria:
* BTEC, HNC/HND, or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Product Design, or a related discipline.
* Practical experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
* A basic understanding of ventilation systems, HVAC, or mechanical design principles (training provided).
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate technical drawings.
Desirable Criteria:
* Familiarity with engineering drawing standards such as BS8888 or ISO.
* Awareness of building envelope systems and manufacturing processes.
* Prior experience in a manufacturing or building services environment.
The Role:
As a Junior CAD Designer, you’ll support the design and manufacture of ventilation and noise control systems by producing 2D and 3D technical drawings, specifications, and documentation. You’ll collaborate with engineers, architects, and production teams to deliver practical and compliant design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Creating and updating CAD drawings for products and systems.
* Developing installation layouts, assembly diagrams, and product details.
* Working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams.
* Supporting the creation of BOMs and liaising with suppliers.
* Ensuring version control and document accuracy across all drawings.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in High Wycombe, offering a competitive salary (£26,000-£39,000 depending on experience), with ongoing training, a supportive team culture, and clear opportunities for long-term career growth.
