We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Curriculum Co-ordinator – ESOL (16–18 & Community) to join our dynamic ESOL team.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate ESOL provision across two key areas:

* Supporting high-quality learning for 16–18 students
* Developing and delivering community ESOL provision, including work with schools and parents

You will play a key role in shaping an inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of Stoke-on-Trent’s diverse communities, supporting learners to develop language skills, confidence and progression pathways.


About the role

You will:

* Coordinate ESOL provision for 16–18 learners and community settings
* Deliver and support staff to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching
* Build partnerships with schools and community organisations
* Develop innovative provision to widen participation and improve outcomes
* Contribute to quality improvement and inspection readiness


About you

You will have:

* A teaching qualification
* Experience of delivering ESOL
* Strong understanding of supporting young people and/or vulnerable learners
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* A passion for inclusion, community engagement and learner success

This position involves regular and sustained contact with students under the age of 18 within an educational establishment and is classed as regulated activity with children. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a children’s barred list check, in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).

The College may consider carrying out online searches as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
