Teacher - Alternative Education
Location: Thrapston
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 (Based on experience) Plus valuable Benefits
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible

Our client, a well-regarded alternative education provider, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher to join their growing team in Thrapston. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people who are unable to access mainstream education, supporting them in achieving academic progress and personal growth in a flexible and nurturing environment.

About the Role:
As a Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality, individualised lessons to students in non-traditional settings such as community spaces, homes, or outreach centres. Your focus will be on re-engaging learners who may have SEMH needs, SEND, or have experienced interrupted education. The role requires creativity, empathy, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver personalised lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of individual learners

* Create a positive, supportive learning environment that fosters confidence and independence

* Collaborate with families, carers, and external agencies to support holistic development

* Monitor and assess academic and social progress, producing regular reports

* Provide consistent encouragement, structure, and emotional support

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification is desirable; experienced unqualified teachers will also be considered

* Previous experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, or in alternative provision is highly valued

* Strong communication and behaviour management skills

* A patient, flexible, and resilient attitude to teaching

* A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel between locations may be required)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
