The University of Western Australia is seeking a part-time Emergency Medicine Coordinator to join their Medical School. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating Emergency Medicine teaching within Year 4 of the UWA MD program, supporting high-quality clinical placements and supervision, and maintaining relationships with clinicians and Site Coordinators.
About the Role
This is a part-time (0.2 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 13 months. The base salary range is Level C, $144,143 – $165,809 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate Emergency Medicine teaching within Year 4 of the UWA MD program, sharing responsibilities with fellow Coordinators.
* Support high-quality clinical placements and supervision, backed by strong academic processes and educational resources.
* Maintain relationships with clinicians and Site Coordinators, and assist with student coordination at your Emergency Department.
Requirements
* Registered with Ahpra as a Medical Practitioner in Western Australia with Fellowship of ACEM or equivalent
* Experience in clinical practice as a consultant emergency medicine physician in the WA health system within the last five years
* Experience and demonstrated expertise as a co-ordinator, tutor and supervisor of medical students and the UWA Emergency Medicine curriculum
* Experience and demonstrated expertise in medical education including course or curriculum design, delivery of content in large group, small group and individual situations, clinical assessment, and involvement with evaluation methods and processes
* Demonstrated significant personal contribution and commitment to high quality education.
