Job summary

Based within the Estates and Facilities Directorate and more specifically within Hotel Services the Facilities Site Manager role role responsible for monitoring of all site management arrangements on all sites within the post holder's area of responsibility.

You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care putting patients at the heart of everything you do. You will be working in a multi-professional team and will need to be able to think on the spot and be empathetic. You will be passionate about our business, creating a culture of continuous improvement.

The post holder will be based at Acklam Road overseeing the Trust wide and will be required to work shifts that include late shifts for monitoring purposes.

You should be highly motivated, reliable, and flexible.

Experience managing a service and team at a management level and managing change is required for this role as is budget management experience.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for day to days managing a Hotel Services team including supervisors, admin and courier team.

The post holder will need to demonstrate the services are being delivered effectively in line with legislation, National and Trust policies, customer requirements and hospitality assured standards.

Qualifications

Essential

1. Catering qualification Level 4 Advanced Certificate in Food Safety or willingness to work towards within 6 months
2. Evidence of continual professional developmentEvidence of continual professional development
3. Management Qualification to Diploma Level 5 or willingness to work towards within 2 years
4. Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)

Desirable

5. Demonstrates aptitude for continuous learning
6. Audit course
7. Basic Principles of HACCP

Experience

Essential

8. Substantial experience at management level
9. Significant experience in managing budgets
10. Experience in leading change
11. Experience of writing and evaluating service specifications
12. Experience of developing quality assurance and performance monitoring systems

Desirable

13. Experience of working with multi-site management level
14. Experience of working with external Estates, ie PFI
15. Cleaning experience in a management role
16. Catering experience in a management role

Skills and Knoweldge

Essential

17. Up-to-date detailed knowledge in food hygiene including HACCP
18. Good understanding of principles of COSHH
19. Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
20. Ability to plan own work and others, ie supervisors
