Quality Inspector – Fabrication Near Stalham - Norfolk Our client manufactures high-end products servicing with an ever-increasing product range. Customer expectations are excellent in product design, cost and delivery performance. As a Quality Inspector in the fabrication department, you will be responsible for monitoring factory fabrications operations to ensure they meet quality/production standards. Recommending adjustments/improvements to processes and inspecting painted & raw metals. Main Duties: * As a Quality Inspector – Fabrication, you will be required to act as a role model to the whole business with the expectation that team members will be empowered to support you, and the success of the team. * Lead safety as a mindset demonstrated by immediately escalating and responding to any concerns * Take responsibility for, and demonstrate commitment to, delivering business outcomes and benefits through planning and delivery. * Demonstrate, lead by example, and encourage in others the company’s Core Values and Leader Qualities. * Actively look for ways to improve products, processes, reduce errors and increase efficiency, whilst empowering others * Relentlessly drive adherence to quality standards whilst looking for improvements and clarity of expectations. * Place the customer at the centre of all decisions, ensuring that the product meets or exceeds customer expectations. Responsibilities: • Drive and promote a safe and empowering environment. • Promote “Right First Time” ethos with team members. • Meet and/or exceed agreed objectives and targets. • Identify and carry out first article inspection and reports. • Carry out internal audits to agreed program. • Investigate and carry out root cause analysis for internal and external non-conformance. • Agree and progress effective corrective actions with dept Leaders to prevent reoccurrence of reported non-conformance(s). • Work with relevant team members to resolve quality issues quickly and efficiently. • Produce written quality reports. • Carry out quality related training e.g. One-Point-Lessons and Tool-Box-Talks. • Inform Quality Manager or Head of Quality of unacceptable goods/processes. • Contribute to continuous improvement activities. • Carry out water testing The Person: • Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015 would be advantageous • Good communication skills both written and verbal. • The ability to organise self and work independently when required. • Ability to think on one’s feet and react quickly to issues • IT literate, confident in use of email, Word and Excel. • Valid, clean driving license. • Overtime may be required depending on company production needs, including weekend work.
