About the Role
Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of finance? As our Finance Systems Accountant/Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial systems that underpin our business's financial reporting. Your insights will guide strategic financial analysis and decision-making for key stakeholders, especially our Operational leaders.
This is not just about maintaining systems; it's about evolving them! You'll have the opportunity to develop bespoke financial systems, reporting tools, and an underlying codebase that will shape the future of our finance reporting environment.
Your Responsibilities
* Ownership of Financial Reporting Systems: Collaborate with the FP&A function to design and implement insightful reporting that evolves with business needs.
* Data Management: Design and implement new data requirements, ensuring seamless integration into our Financial Reporting ecosystem.
* Continuous Improvement: Review existing data and systems to identify opportunities for automation and increased efficiency.
* Data Integrity: Ensure that all data is accurate, reliable, and secure at all times.
* Troubleshooting: Resolve issues within the Finance team to maintain smooth operations.
* System Maintenance: Configure and support all finance systems, adapting to changing business needs.
* Collaboration with IT: Lead or support financial systems upgrades, testing, and implementation.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Strong SQL Server skills
* Power BI experience
* Understanding of financial systems and reporting structures
* Experience supporting finance teams
* Comfortable with legacy systems (some Access reports still in use)
* Preferably qualified or qualified-by-experience (CIMA, ACCA, etc.)
