Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 Per Annum

Job Overview
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurse with significant haematology experience to join our Clinical Haematology team as Deputy Ward Manager. The department is a nationally recognized centre for treating haematological malignancies, operating from 8am to 8pm on weekdays and 8-4 on Saturdays, including bank holidays.
This role involves working alongside the current unit manager and deputies to lead and support the day case and outpatient team, ensuring high-quality care for haematology patients.
Main Duties
* Act as Deputy to the Ward Manager, handling managerial responsibilities such as staff sickness monitoring, rota management, and return-to-work discussions.
* Provide direct clinical care, including medication and chemotherapy administration.
* Support clinical and non-clinical governance implementation.
* Work flexibly within the team to maintain and improve standards.
* Ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care, identifying and addressing care quality issues.
* Evaluate and improve patient pathways to enhance patient experience.
* Maintain standards of nursing care through audits and continuous improvement.
