Data Analyst (37 hours per week, Fixed term contract (up to 14 months) for Maternity Cover).
Location: Contractual base in either office; Salvus House, Durham or Pearl House, Peterborough with hybrid working opportunities.
There is a requirement to attend the office on a regular basis.
Salary starting from: £37,147 plus a discretionary bonus potential of up to 8% of annual salary.
Reporting to: Data Analytics Manager.
Our core working hours are Monday to Friday between 09:30 – 16:00. We support a flexible working environment where possible.

The Role in a Nutshell
Working with our Data department, this role will include defining the required scope of reports and dashboards with key stakeholders, extracting data from our systems and transforming it into insights in the form of reports and dashboards. Our Data Analysts ensure that information is provided and communicated in an intuitive, useful and accessible manner to the Wave audience.
We are looking for a Data Analyst to build upon our report suite in Power BI by condensing reports into themed dashboards, interactive analytics and self‑service.
What Will Your Typical Day Look Like?
* Spend time with stakeholders around the business to understand their reporting needs and help them imagine and draw up solutions such as reports, dashboards and data pipelines that meet their needs efficiently.
* Write SQL code and DAX to manipulate data, build data models and calculations.
* Design impactful dashboards.
* Perform quality testing of your data, build alerts and share findings with colleagues.
What Do We Need From You?
* Proven experience as an analyst working with Power BI and DAX.
* Skilled in SQL.
* Proficient in Advanced Excel.
* Knowledge of reporting technologies and relational databases.
* Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
* Organised, reliable and detail‑oriented.
* Ability to work independently and as part of the BI team.
