We are McGee – a specialist engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering some of London’s most complex and innovative civil engineering projects. We are currently looking for an experienced Asbestos Removal Supervisor to join our Environmental Services team in London.
Role Overview
As an Asbestos Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing site teams on asbestos removal projects, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with legal and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise asbestos removal operatives on-site, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and company procedures.
* Conduct daily site briefings, toolbox talks and ensure full understanding of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
* Liaise directly with clients, site managers, analysts and internal departments.
* Ensure correct use of PPE, equipment, and decontamination procedures.
* Report progress, issues, and incidents to management promptly while promoting a strong Health & Safety culture on site
About You:
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the asbestos removal industry
* Up-to-date asbestos qualifications (e.g. ARCA/ACAD Supervisor training), along with valid medical and face-fit certification
* Supervisor CSCS card and SSSTS/SMSTS certification
* Valid Enhanced DBS certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Full, clean UK driving license
* Strong knowledge of HSE guidelines, asbestos regulations (CAR 2012) and industry best practice
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling – this is a working supervisor role, requiring hands-on site involvement in varying conditions
