A well-established company based in Runcorn is seeking a Business and Purchasing Administrator to join its team. This is a dual-role position with a strong emphasis on behaviours — we believe that with the right mindset, the skills can be learned.
As Business Administrator, key responsibilities will include:
1. Manage a portfolio of suppliers to ensure items and services are delivered on time, in full, and to the right quality and cost.
2. Support cost-reduction and supply chain improvement initiatives.
3. Take ownership of specific suppliers and purchasing sectors.
4. Produce weekly and monthly reports, including Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) statistics.
5. Organise and administer yearly audit schedules across SHE, Quality, and Environmental functions.
6. Maintain key business databases and support complaint tracking and KPI reporting.
The successful candidate will:
1. Have experience in business administration.
2. Ideally have knowledge or experience in purchasing — but this is not essential.
3. Have strong communication skills (written, phone, and in-person).
4. Stay focused on priorities and work to deadlines.
5. Be able to build positive working relationships across a business.
