Vetro Recruitment is actively seeking motivated, flexible, and committed SEN Teaching Assistants for short-term, long-term, and day-to-day supply roles in primary schools across Neath and Port Talbot. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a variety of welcoming school settings while providing vital, specialist support to pupils with SEN.
About the Role
We work closely with a network of supportive primary schools across Neath & Port Talbot that share our strong values around inclusion, care, and pupil wellbeing. These established partnerships ensure you are placed in positive environments where you can genuinely make an impact.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs
*
Provide 1:1 and small group support, both inside and outside the classroom
*
Adapt learning activities to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum
*
Help create a nurturing, inclusive environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged

Key Requirements
To be considered, you will need:

Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs in a school or similar setting
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
*
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider school team
*
A proactive attitude toward inclusive education
*
A relevant qualification in childcare, education, or SEN support (desirable)
*
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
*
References covering the last two years
*
