Overview
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same. You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance. The customer is at the heart of everything we do, and you will be continually looking for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback. With your guidance, the store will remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* I know my customers and serve them with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
* Encourage customers to provide feedback by completing the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to ensure tasks meet customer needs.
* Apply training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Understand store performance and the part you play in delivering profit; work according to company values and policies.
* Follow employment policies, clock in/out accurately, and maintain personal safety and the safety of others.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available; adhere to the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Respond promptly to assistance calls on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized workspace with clear aisles.
* Able to cover shifts in the absence of Shift Leader or Store Manager when required.
* Follow all training to keep yourself, colleagues, and the store safe and compliant.
Post Office Local (if applicable)
If this store has a Post Office Local, duties may include day-to-day post office operations and you may be required to pass a Post Office Financial and criminal conviction background check. If checks fail, the offer may be withdrawn.
