The Role
As a Supply Geography Teacher, you will play an important role in delivering engaging and thought‑provoking Geography lessons to secondary school students. You will support students in developing their understanding of the physical and human world while encouraging curiosity about global issues and environments.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Inspiring students to develop an interest in geographical processes, environments, and global issues
* Assessing students' progress and providing constructive feedback to support their development
* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and curiosity
* Supporting students of varying abilities through differentiated teaching strategies
* Working collaboratively with the Humanities department and wider school staff
Requirements
* Experience teaching Geography at secondary school level
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* The ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners
* A commitment to supporting students' academic progress and engagement
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
