Overview
We are looking for a good all-rounder engineer to support our UK business.
Preferably a quality engineer with a good manufacturing background. Somebody that has experience of ISO 9001. Main Objectives Ensure compliance with standards (e.g., ISO 9001), identify and resolve quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and reduce costs.
System Development: Creating and updating Quality Management Systems (QMS) and documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Auditing: Planning and conducting product inspections, process audits, and tests to ensure compliance with technical standards and regulations.
Problem Solving: Investigating product complaints and quality issues to perform root-cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Data Analysis: Using statistical analysis to track quality metrics, identify trends, and report on performance.
Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, engineering, supply chain) and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met at all stages.
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering is typical. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of QMS, statistical analysis, ISO 9001, and lean manufacturing principles like Six Sigma.
Professional Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and diligence. Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information and teamwork are crucial.
Some European travel is required.
