Join to apply for the Interim Chief Nurse role at DenialHost. This is a 12-month interim appointment (secondment considered) with the Board of Directors, based in the North East of England. Based in the North East of England, Gateshead Health provides hospital and community health services from facilities including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon Urgent Care Centre and Bensham Hospital within Gateshead. The Trust employs around 4,800 staff and provides 444 hospital beds across the Gateshead region.

Responsibilities
* Advise the Trust Board on Quality and Patient Safety, and professional standards for nursing, midwifery and allied health professionals (AHP).
* Discharge full statutory responsibilities to ensure compliance with policy and practice in nursing, midwifery and AHP management within the Trust.
* Provide professional and clinical leadership to deliver excellence in service delivery and set the vision for nursing, midwifery and AHP practice in safe patient care.
* Lead the Trust’s strategic approach to quality and safety to deliver safe services and a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
* Ensure Quality and Patient Safety remain central to the Board agenda and that patient care informs decision-making while balancing financial stewardship and performance.
* Directly manage specific departments as detailed within the job description.
Qualifications and Requirements
Executive-level leadership experience within an NHS or equivalent healthcare setting. The role requires alignment with the Trust’s clinical leadership and governance standards and the ability to work collaboratively with the Medical Director and Chief Operating Officer as part of the executive team.
