This individual will work directly with clients to understand commercial and financial requirements, design solutions within our CPQ platform, and implement those solutions through coding, configuration, and integrations with CRM, ERP, and approval systems. About the Job: · Job Title: Business Systems Developer (.NET) – CPQ & Commercial Systems · Department: Engineering · Reports to: Engineering Team Lead · Shift: Day Shift · Position: Full-Time · Location: United Kingdom Key Responsibilities: · Client Engagement & Analysis o Work directly with business users (Sales, Finance, Operations) to capture requirements around quoting, commercials, approvals, and contract management. o Translate business problems into technical requirements and solution designs. o Facilitate workshops and discussions to align stakeholders. · Solution Design & Architecture o Design CPQ solutions with a focus on pricing models, discounting logic, approval workflows, and financial controls. o Define integration patterns with CRM (Salesforce, Dynamics) and ERP (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). o Produce functional and technical design specifications. · Development & Implementation o Develop and extend CPQ functionality using .NET (C#, Web API), RavenDB, and Angular (where applicable). o Create and maintain integrations with CRM and ERP systems (using APIs, middleware, or custom connectors). o Implement approval workflows and financial validation rules. o Ensure code quality through best practices (clean code, patterns, unit testing). · Collaboration & Delivery o Work in agile sprints, contributing to backlog refinement and story definition. o Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA to deliver high-quality solutions. o Provide clear documentation and knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams. Key Competency and Experience: Minimum: · Strong background in .NET development (C#, Web API) with experience in building scalable business applications. · Experience with NoSQL (RavenDB preferred) and/or relational databases. · Familiarity with integration patterns (REST, SOAP, middleware, ETL). · Excellent communication skills, both with technical teams and business stakeholders. Core Competencies: · Knowledge of commercial models, pricing, approvals, and contract lifecycle in a CPQ context. · Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Dynamics) and ERP integrations. · Comfortable gathering and analyzing requirements directly with clients. · Ability to design and implement business logic, approval rules, and financial calculations.
