Job Overview
We are looking for a female Personal Assistant to support a 13‑year‑old girl with autism, sensory processing differences and mental health needs in the Hull area.
She is a kind, creative and sensitive young person who enjoys shopping, trips to Starbucks and McDonald’s, art, animals and swimming. She can experience significant anxiety and sensory overwhelm, particularly in busy or unpredictable environments, and requires support to feel safe, regulated and able to engage in everyday activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting safe access to the community (e.g. shopping, cafés, short outings)
* Helping her manage anxiety and emotional distress
* Supporting sensory regulation and recognising signs of overwhelm
* Encouraging engagement in activities she enjoys
* Building confidence and independence at her own pace
Support will vary depending on how she is feeling, so flexibility and a calm approach are essential. She may need time to build trust, and support will begin gradually. Some sessions may initially be home‑based before progressing into the community.
Qualifications & Skills
The PA must be able to build trust and work at her pace, be confident with supporting a young person who may become anxious or distressed, be flexible, reliable and supportive. The PA should be calm, patient and emotionally attuned, and have an understanding of Autism, sensory needs and mental health.

Eligibility
