Looking for a new challenge?
We are seeking a Female Support Worker to join our supported living service based in Hamworthy, Poole.
For genuine occupational reasons, we are looking to appoint a female candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).
We provide support between 7am - 10pm, including a mix of days, evening shifts, and possible sleep-in shifts. The role involves weekend work.
The individual supported is confident and enthusiastic about community activities, requiring 2 to 1 support. They are deafblind and have a tenancy for their own home.
This individual has a team supporting her 24/7, with 6 hours of daily 2:1 support for community access and a sleep-in staff member. Communication is via BSL signs, PECs, photos, and gestures. She is energetic and enjoys activities like walks, café visits, trampolining, cinema, Gateway Club, short breaks, holidays, theatre, themed days, and fireworks.
