Morson Edge are supporting a major player in the Energy Sector who have a contract requirement for a Civil Configuration Controller (Civil Works Scope) to join their established site based team in Bridgwater, Somerset.
The Opportunity
* This role demands exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to cultivate strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Your role is crucial in maintaining adherence to procedures and safety rules as the Project moves closer to the delivery of a safe and operable nuclear power station.
* You will play a key role in maintaining and managing the Site's configuration, ensuring everything aligns with the established management processes for your designated area.
* You will be the go-to person for configuration-related queries, helping to streamline the Project construction phase.
Key Responsibilities
* You will use your expertise to ensure the seamless control of engineering documentation and adherence to industry standards:
o Keeping the List of Applicable Documents up to date for your assigned area.
o Processing construction change requests, to ensure the sequential update of the configuration.
o Managing the site cascade of the design change process into the construction configuration.
o Running data checks across your scope, investigating discrepancies with numerous project stakeholders, then leading the appropriate resolution of each topic and tracking the necessary implementation routes to establish a compliant position.
o Managing interfaces between work packages on the permanent works to ensure smooth coordination.
Criteria:
* Typically, degree/HNC/HND in a relevant science or engineering field or a strong technical background.
* Experience managing engineering documentation (Redline Drawings and Work Pack management etc,.).
* Knowledge of Configuration and Nuclear Power Plant standards.
* Familiarity with change management processes and requests.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills, able to clearly present discrepancies found to wide reaching Multi-Disciplinary Team members for resolution.
* Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
* Strong numerical and analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail. xxuwjjq
