Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team. As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for effective and timely testing and manufacturing of Fortress products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
Location: The role will initially be based at Malvern for 6 months, then split between Malvern and Banbury, then permanently Banbury. Therefore full driving license is required due to travel and site location.
Responsibilities:
New Equipment Testing
· Ensure all company safety measures including PPE, processes and behaviours are adhered to.
· To fully inspect and test new assemblies from our suppliers to defined specifications and fix where possible.
· To formulate and write test procedures for new and existing equipment.
To assist with new product development.
Repair of Customers equipment
· To test, fault find and repair electronic assemblies.
· To complete repair documentation.
Occasional contact with customers directly to assist and/or support with their equipment.
Continuous Improvements
· Ability to forward think and offer solutions to business problems.
· Adapting for changes in priority / resource.
· Assembly / build documentation.
Housekeeping.
Specific Skills /Experience
· Ideally a degree or HND in Electronics.
· Experience in electronics manufacturing.
· Experience / very good understanding of analogue and digital electronic circuitry.
· Excellent soldering skills, through hole and SMD.
· Ability to understand and fault find electronic equipment.
· Ability to read and understand electronic circuit drawings and electrical drawings.
· Familiarity with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, DVM's etc.) and test software/diagnostics tools.
· Ability to communicate with all departments clearly and effectively within the business.
