Portfolio Payroll is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll professional to join a stable and growing organisation that truly values its people.
Reporting to the Personnel Manager you will take responsibility for the day-to-day processing of the company payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer payroll for existing employees, new starters and leavers
* Maintain accurate and efficient payroll records
* Calculate overtime, sickness and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP etc.)
* Manage RTI submissions and ensure compliance with auto-enrolment legislation
* Ensure payroll deadlines are consistently met and thoroughly checked
* Liaise with the People Team and Finance to ensure smooth payroll operations
* Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries
* Produce routine and ad-hoc payroll reporting
* Support with additional duties as required
About You:
* Proven payroll experience
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation
* Ability to work accurately to strict deadlines
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
