Job Title:Assistant Purchasing Manager
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
Work Pattern: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

About the role:
As an Assistant Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Purchasing Manager in ensuring the Company's manufacturing operations are kept fully supplied with components to achieve planned production targets.
Full training will be provided however previous international purchasing experience, including working with a global network of suppliers, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Raising of purchase orders in a timely manner to support Company requirements and to ensure best price in relation to break points and demand whilst working within defined specifications.
* Managing raw material stock holding inhouse, in transit and at Supplier warehousing to accommodate varying lead times.
* Manage component stockholding.
* Maintain LV database.
* Knowledge of Company standard operating procedures and ensuring that they are followed to comply with audit requirements.
* Overseeing daily activities of department.
About you:
* Highly literate. Good level of conversational and written English
* Highly numerate.
* Highly PC and mainframe computer literate, including experience using LV software.
* Experience of purchasing internationally and working with a global network of suppliers.
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, and with quality systems.
* Ability to work and communicate effectively with operational personnel and management.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Organised and methodical
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
* Ability to work to deadlines
