We are recruiting for a Marketing Governance Manager. This role play a central role in supporting Compare the Market’s first line of defence. You will be responsible for managing customer risk across the Marketing and Customer teams, ensuring the regulatory and compliance environment is effectively managed with a commercial mindset. The role works in close collaboration with the CtM Second Line of Defence, Risk & Compliance team and other first line of defense colleagues.
This is a hands-on, visible role designed to embed best-in-class risk management practices and promote a proactive risk-aware culture.

What you’ll be doing:
First Line of Defence (FLOD) Leadership
* Act as the lead Governance Manager for Marketing and Customer teams within the first line of defence.
* Own the delivery of monthly FLOD packs, ensuring risks are accurately reported and tracked.
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
* Provide subject matter expertise and regulatory approvals for financial and non-financial promotions.
* Support and challenge the business on regulatory and high-priority strategic projects.
Risk Framework Execution
* Implement and maintain the risk management framework for Marketing & Customer.
* Ensure alignment of risks and controls with the business’s risk appetite.
War Game Exercises & Scenario Testing
* Design and lead cross-functional War Games to simulate the risks of new products or initiatives.
Monitoring, Validation & Reporting
* Own and deliver the first-line annual validation and monitoring plan, working closely with the second line of defence.
What we’re looking for:
* Advanced knowledge of FCA rules relating to customer communications and financial promotions and CAP and BCAP Codes (ASA). Other in-scope regulatory knowledge would be beneficial but not essential e.g. Ofgem, Ofcom.
* Good understanding of risk frameworks and execution of these within a business.
* Good product knowledge of CtM’s core and non-core offerings.
