Role Summary
The post holder will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning activities and training content in support of our global training team to meet training requirements across the business. The instructional designer will be responsible for the creation of training materials for employees working under GMP, GCP, Commercial processes as well as corporate training for the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
• Creating engaging compelling course content for independent learning as well as classroom training, webinars and any other course creation needs
• Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc).
• Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment
• instruments
• Working with subject matter experts and identifying target audience’s training needs to ensure training meets technical, regulatory and competency requirements
• Applying tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
• Creating e-learning content via Articulate, Vyond and AI generative software
• Track and assess effectiveness of training material with support from training team to enhance engagement and retention
• Evaluate existing instructional content and keep up to date with learning requirements and updates to processes
• Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
• Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
• Maintain project documentation and course folders.

• Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology (E)
• Proven working experience of Articulate for e-learning creation (E)
• Proven working experience in video creation and gamification (E)
• Proven experience working in AI generative tools for e-learning creation (P)
Skills/Specialist knowledge
• Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models (E)
• Up to date with latest eLearning development including use of AI for generation of engaging learning experiences (E)
• Lesson and curriculum planning skills (E)
• Solid knowledge of course development software (E)
• Knowledge in the use of ComplianceWire or knowledge of storing, managing and delivering learning materials using an LMS (P)
• Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard (E)
• Ability to write effective instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
• Strong stakeholder management skills working with Subject Matter Experts across the business to develop learning material that is effective (E)
