We are a growing and reputable fire protection company, specialising in Fire door surveys, Fire door installation, and Compartmentation works across commercial, residential, and public sector projects.
Due to continued growth and project demand, we're looking for a motivated and detail-driven Estimator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the fire safety sector who is ready to take ownership of the pricing process and play a key role in securing and delivering compliant, high-quality work.
* Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate, detailed estimates for fire door and compartmentation projects.
* Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and site information to produce cost-effective proposals.
* Work closely with the surveying and operations teams to ensure pricing aligns with scope and compliance requirements.
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain and compare quotations.
* Track variations, pricing adjustments, and project budgets as works progress.
* Assist in value engineering and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising compliance.
* What We're Looking For
* 2+ years' experience in estimating, preferably within the fire protection, passive fire, or construction sectors.
* Good working knowledge of fire door regulations and compartmentation standards (e.g. BS 8214, BS 9999, etc.)
* Familiarity with tendering processes and pricing software (Excel essential; estimating software advantageous).
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of compliance in the fire safety sector.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
