Job Description
My client requires a Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs relating to construction projects, from the initial calculations through to the final accounts. The successful candidate will have the ability to focus on all commercial elements of the construction project
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis.
Manage contract administration and advise on contractual matters.
Measure and value work done on site.
Prepare interim and final valuations and payment certificates.
Monitor project progress and produce detailed cost reports.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors.
Assess variations and negotiate with clients and subcontractors.
Provide advice on procurement strategies and contract selection.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or cost management.
Familiarity with standard forms of contract (e.g., JCT, NEC).
Proficiency in cost management software
Experience working in building sector essential
