We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and adaptable individual to work alongside our energetic team in Nuneaton. The role requires a CAN-DO attitude. We are a fast-paced business with plenty of opportunities for growth so if this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you! JOB PURPOSE This is not an order-taking role. This is a revenue-driving, relationship-building, deal-closing position at the centre of our growth strategy. You will own inbound opportunities, driving outbound phone sales, and ensuring no opportunity is left untouched. You will act as the critical link between customers, external sales, and leadership, helping convert interest into revenue and friction into momentum. Your focus is simple: Turn enquiries into orders Turn customers into repeat buyers Turn gaps into opportunities You will also support the Director with commercial insight, pipeline visibility, and execution helping steer the business, not just support it. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sales & Revenue Generation Own all inbound sales enquiries qualify, quote, and close with urgency and intent Proactively drive outbound calls to builder merchants, new and existing to generate new orders Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the full GRS Paving range (sandstone, porcelain, ancillaries) Convert quotes into orders through consistent, structured follow-up no passive pipelines. Customer Relationship Management Build strong, trusted relationships over the phone becoming the "go-to" contact for customers. Understand customer buying patterns, pressures, and opportunities to position GRS as their preferred supplier Deliver fast, accurate, and commercially competitive quotations Pipeline & Opportunity Control Maintain full ownership of the sales pipeline tracking every enquiry, quote, and conversion Ensure no opportunity goes cold through disciplined follow-up and communication Provide clear visibility on pipeline status, risks, and opportunities Internal Coordination Work closely with external sales representatives to support regional growth and customer strategy Coordinate with operations, transport, and sales support teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment Act as the internal anchor for customer communication and issue resolution Market & Product Awareness Maintain strong knowledge of product ranges, pricing, and competitor positioning Use insight from customer conversations to feed back into pricing, product, and strategy decisions Standards & Discipline Keep reporting accurate and up to date Operate with urgency, ownership, and accountability at all times Take responsibility for outcomes, not just activity What Success Looks Like Quotes consistently converted into orders Pipeline is active, visible, and progressing Customers return and buy more External sales teams are supported and more effective Leadership has clarity on what's happening and what's coming next KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB Internal sales / telesales / phone-based sales experience (Essential) Proven ability to convert enquiries into revenue (Essential) Experience within building materials, paving, or merchant sector (Desirable) Ability to manage multiple opportunities and prioritise effectively (Essential) Personal Attributes Relentless follow-up mindset - you don't leave deals unfinished Calm under pressure - solutions-focused, not reactive Clear communicator - direct, confident, and persuasive High ownership - you take responsibility for results, not excuses BENEFITS 23 Days holiday Bank Holidays.
