Emergency Response Officer – MINI Plant Oxford
Location: MINI Plant Oxford
Salary: £33,109.44 per annum (based on 4 on 4 off)
Hours: 12‑hour shifts (days, nights & weekends – average 42 hours per week)
Overtime: Regular overtime available

Take your SIA career further with Mitie’s Emergency Response Team at the home of MINI production in Oxford. This is not a standard guarding role. You will be part of a multi‑skilled, highly trained team responsible for emergency response, fire safety, environmental incidents, and advanced first aid within a fast‑paced, high‑profile manufacturing environment.
We are looking for professional, motivated individuals who want to step into a more demanding and rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a high‑visibility, proactive security presence across the site
* Respond rapidly and effectively to fire alarms, medical incidents, and environmental emergencies
* Support and actively contribute to the Emergency Response Team, including training and daily planning
* Maintain and inspect specialist emergency equipment to operational standards
* Conduct internal and external patrols, searches, and incident reporting
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security procedures
Qualifications
Essential
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Valid SIA Front Line Licence (or willingness to obtain – fully funded)
* Ability to pass a medical and fitness assessment (including breathing apparatus)
* Strong communication skills and professional approach
* Flexible to work days, nights, and weekends
* Ability to pass security vetting and random drug/alcohol testing
* Basic to intermediate IT skills
Desirable
* FREC 3 (First Response Emergency Care) qualification
Note: Due to breathing apparatus requirements, candidates must be clean‑shaven or maintain a tightly trimmed goatee‑style beard for safety compliance.
