Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced and expanding company as a Senior National Account Manager.
This role is based in Bicester, Oxfordshire, with travel to other offices required.
Our reach extends to top restaurants, pubs, hotels, department stores, and gourmet food outlets across the UK, creating menus and recipes for demanding tastes.
Our Sales team is dedicated to developing customer relationships and providing high-quality service, representing our brands effectively.
The Role of a Senior Account Manager:
The role focuses on excellent service and account management. You should be a confident, proactive communicator. Your main responsibility is to ensure customers receive high service levels and to promote the use of Menu Partners for consolidation. Food Service experience is required.
You will manage an existing portfolio of national premium restaurant groups, requiring resilience and problem-solving skills. You will develop joint Business Plans and deliver budget and forecast reports.
Role Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a successful background in sales growth and customer relationship development within foodservice account management, with exposure to end-user customers like contract caterers, hotel & restaurant groups, and a passion for premium food products. Experience in a large wholesaler and understanding of multi-temperature, multi-site distribution are preferred.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with strong organizational skills, a team-oriented attitude, and enthusiasm for sales success.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
* Manage national, regional, and local sales for The Menu Partners
* Oversee a portfolio of accounts, ensuring profitability, customer satisfaction, and growth targets
* Lead and mentor the account team, working with new and existing clients
* Develop and implement individual development plans
* Monitor and report on account performance, sales, and margins
* Prepare forecasts and budgets
* Create account plans aligned with strategic objectives
* Secure senior management buy-in for strategies
* Lead strategic account planning and annual cycles
* Maximize profitability and review plans annually
* Maintain high customer satisfaction and retention
* Manage client relationships at the highest level
* Coordinate with other departments to meet sales and profitability targets
* Manage tender processes and contractual negotiations
* Understand and communicate customer needs and develop new menu strategies
* Collaborate across teams and departments, sharing intelligence and data
* Utilize NPD functions to maximize account value and profitability
* Develop and execute individual account NPD strategies
* Adhere to company policies and ensure business continuity
* Participate in additional projects as directed
