Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Newbury, Berkshire
Salary: £40,000 £45,000 per annum
Hours: Mainly weekdays (day shifts) with occasional evenings and weekends

As the business continues to grow, they are now looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to strengthen their maintenance team and support ongoing production demands.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to work in a busy manufacturing setting. You will be responsible for both preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repair across a range of automated and fast-moving production machinery.
Youll play a vital part in keeping machinery performing at its best, reducing downtime, and ensuring that all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently. The role offers a strong mix of both electrical and mechanical engineering, with a slight emphasis on electrical fault-finding and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on production and packaging machinery
Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively
Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime and enhance performance
Following strict health & safety and quality procedures at all times
Participating in an on-call rota for occasional evening and weekend support
Skills and Experience Required
Time-served or qualified Maintenance Engineer (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent in Engineering)
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Proven experience within a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment
Good knowledge of drives, motors, conveyors, and general automation
Confident working under pressure in a fast-paced production setting
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
